SVA presents “Début 25,” the annual exhibition of multidisciplinary work by BFA Design and BFA Advertising students. The department-curated exhibition will be on view Monday, March 24, through Tuesday, April 29, at the SVA Gramercy Gallery, 209 E 23rd Street, New York. Guests can peruse over 200 cutting-edge student projects from the 2024–2025 school year in a magically transformed gallery space.

This year’s spring salon displays the breadth of the departments’ offerings, from branding, motion graphics, and augmented reality to interaction, and traditional and emerging advertising. Thanks to a suite of interactive displays, visitors will be immersed in the world of game design and put their skills to the test with complex digital levels created by students in the Godot game engine.

The exhibition also features three-dimensional design work, including creations from the new Wilde Lab fabrication space, one-of-a-kind guitars from the 3D Design students, packaging prototypes, zines, books, and more.

The BFA Design program has consistently produced some of the most innovative, trendsetting and acclaimed designers across both traditional and emerging industries. Its curriculum is rooted in a strong foundational understanding of visual communication. It also pushes the boundaries of design and creativity by putting exciting new tools and technologies into the hands of students, resulting in diverse, dynamic and visionary design work. With such a varied landscape of career opportunities, students are offered a space to not only study design in its many forms, but to also have a hand in designing the future.

BFA Advertising knows that for students to be successful, they must know how to think big and have the ability to bring those big ideas to life. The department offers an immersive education across a variety of media and new technologies. Students are prepared with the skills, knowledge and opportunities necessary to excel and thrive in this exciting and ever- changing industry. Situated at the center of the advertising capital of the world, the BFA Advertising program pulls its faculty from the biggest and best agencies to teach and inspire the next generation of creative thinkers, problem-solvers and elite professionals.
