Last month, Violet Whitney and William Martin, the team behind research and design studio Spatial Pixel, led a workshop for MFA Interaction Design students focused on spatial computing and how the digital and physical can interact. One of Spatial Pixel’s projects is Procession, a new kind of spatial computer—one for spaces, not for faces. It’s the centerpiece of the team’s work to make technologies that “speak human,” responding to voice, gestures, physical objects, and more to program environments and create interactive real-world experiences.
